Eight Killed In Bareilly As Car Jumps Divider And Rams Into Dumper, Catches Fire

Bareilly, December 10 (TNA) In a heart wrenching incident, eight persons, including a teenager were killed when a car caught fire after being hit by a dumper on the Bareilly-Nainital highway. Due to an explosion and fire in both the vehicles, all eight people in the car were burnt to death. After the information, SSP reached the spot, the fire team extinguished the fire with difficulty and removed the vehicles.

The Ertiga car going from Bareilly towards Baheri jumped the divider after a tire burst and rammed into a dumper coming from the other side. Ertiga car of Baheri, resident Sumit Gupta runs on booking. It is said that Furkan, a resident of Narayan Nagla of Baheri, had booked a car for Bareilly. The wedding procession of Uwais, resident of Mohalla Jam, Bahedi, had come to Faham Lawn in Bareilly.

After returning from the wedding procession, these people were returning back to Bahedi at 11.45 pm. It is said that the tire of the car suddenly burst near Dabhaura village in Bahedi direction, about 1.25 km from Bhojipura police station. Due to this the car lost balance and jumped the divider and went in the other direction.

The car collided with a dumper coming from the front. The car caught fire with a loud noise. The dumper dragged the car about 25 metres. The driver and helper of the dumper jumped in panic and ran away. Inspector General of Police, Bareilly Zone, Rakesh Singh inspected the site of the accident and gave directions to the concerned officials.
