Eminent Islamic Scholar Kalbe Sadiq Passes Away
Lucknow, Nov 24 (TNA) Eminent Islamic scholar Kalbe Sadiq passed away late on Tuesday after a prolonged battle with cancer and other ailments. His condition had been deteriorating for the past one week and he was on ventilator support.
The 83-year-old was suffering from severe pneumonia, urinary tract infection and septic shock. He had been in the Era hospital since last Tuesday. Kalbe Sadiq was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and was operated for its cure in Delhi three years ago.
One of the most prominent, software spoken Islamic leaders of Lucknow, he was respected by all sections of the society, he was the vice-chairman of All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
He was known as an Islamic scholar, reformer, educationist and preacher. He was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India in a Shia family, The Khawandah-e-Ijtihaad. He had visited several countries for delivering lectures mostly in the Islamic month of Muharram.
