Employee Of BJP Legislator Hangs Self At MLA’s Hazratganj Flat

Lucknow, Sep 25 (TNA) An employee of a lawmaker in Uttar Pradesh committed suicide at his house late on Sunday, police said. According to information available, an employee of his media cell committed suicide by hanging himself in flat number 804 of BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla's MLA residence in Hazratganj.

The police arrived at the crime scene on information, broke the door, went inside and removed the body from the noose. The reason for suicide has not been known yet. Police have started investigation.

Hazratganj Inspector Pramod Kumar Pandey said that 24-year-old Shrestha Tiwari, resident of Barabanki Haidergarh, used to work in the media cell of BKT MLA.

He was alone in the flat on Sunday night. Shrestha hanged himself at around 11:30 pm. According to the Inspector, no suicide note etc. has been recovered yet. The reason for suicide is being ascertained. The relatives of the deceased have been informed about the incident.

The Inspector said that before committing suicide, Shrestha called an acquaintance or relative and told him that he was going to commit suicide. The person to whom he had called informed the police control room. After this the police team was sent to flat number 804.

The door was locked from inside. When the police broke in and entered, Shrestha was found hanging. The police have seized his mobile phone.
