Engineering Student In Prayagraj Attacks Bus Conductor With Sharp-edged Weapon, Accuses Him Of Abusing Islam

Prayagraj, November 25 (TNA) In a shocking incident, a Muslim student of engineering attacked the conductor of a bus with a sharp-edged weapon on his neck for allegedly “abusing Islam”. The accused then released a video wherein he explained this reason for the deadly attack. The victim has been admitted at the SRN hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

When the police went to recover the weapon (chapad) used, the engineering student opened fire on the cops after whicg the police team retaliated and in the gun battle the accused was injured in the leg. According to information, the electric bus was going from Prayagraj’s Civil Lines area to Karchana when there was a tiff between the engineering student Lareb Hashmi and bus conductor Harikesh Vishwakarma.

He then attacked the bus conductor and hit him on his hand and neck as the bus reached the engineering college gate in Naini.By the time other bus passengers could react he fled the crime scene and barged into his college shouting slogans like Allah-hu-Akbar and “jamat Abhi Zinda hai’! In the video he posted on the social media, he can be seen taking the name of chief minister Yogi Adityanath too.

The accused in first year BTech student and his father runs a pultry farm in his village. DSP Abhinav Tyagi said the 20-year-old has been admitted to a medical facility with a gun shot wound in his leg after being arrested from Chandi Bandargah.
