Fire At A Meerut Police Station Triggers Blast In LPG Cylinders, Two Cops Injured
Meerut, July 23 (TNA) Two policemen sustained burn injuries when LPG cylinders kept in a police station blew up due to a fire that broke out there. Eight cops jumped from the first floor to save their lives. The incident took place in the Sardhana police station.
The records and weapons kept in cyber cell and malkhana were also gutted in the fire that broke out on Saturday evening. Two fire engines, which reached after half an hour, doused the fire after two hours of effort.
The policemen - Hemendra, in charge of Malkhana, constable Sumit Rajoura from cyber cell and constable Keshav Atri, who was on guard duty sustained the burn injuries and have been admitted to a medical facility.
