Five Killed, Three Dozen Injured As Bus Overturns In Mirzapur

Mirzapur, October 27 (TNA) Five persons were killed and more than three dozen injured iin a road mishap on Friday after a bus overturned at high speed near Dadri dam, police said. The police from Santnagar police station reached the site of the accident and began rescue and relief operations soon after receiving information of the tragedy.

From Mirzapur, a bus named Shivraj goes to Kushiara in Haliya. Madihan and Santnagar areas fall on the way. On Friday morning, the bus was going to Haliya with about 50 passengers. On the way, it went out of control and overturned near Dadri Dam in Sant Nagar police station area. The passengers were crushed beneath the bus when it turtled.

CO Lalganj Manjari Rao said initially five deaths have been reported but the exact number of casualties will only be known sometime later in the day.
