Prayagraj, July 20 (TNA) Former BJP legislator Udaybhan Karwaria will be released prematurely, Udaybhan Karwaria, who is imprisoned in Naini Central Jail, will be released soon. The government has issued an order for the premature release of former MLA Udayabhan Karwaria. After the Governor's approval, the Prison Administration and Correctional Services Department issued an order to release Udayabhan, who is serving a life sentence in Naini Jail in Prayagraj.

Udayabhan will have to furnish two sureties fixed by the DM and Commissioner of Prayagraj and a personal bond of equal amount for his release. In 2019, the District Court of Prayagraj sentenced Udayabhan, his brother Kapilmuni Karwaria and Surajbhan Karwaria to life imprisonment for the murder of SP MLA Jawahar Yadav alias Jawahar Pandit.

In 1996, SP MLA Jawahar Pandit was shot dead with an AK 47 in broad daylight in the Civil Lines area. MLA Udaybhan Karwaria, MP Kapilmuni Karwaria, former MLC Surajbhan Karwaria, Ramchandra Tripathi are serving life imprisonment in the murder case.

Udayabhan's good conduct in jail was recommended by Prayagraj DM and Police Commissioner for his early release. There was an ongoing feud between the Karwariya family and former MLA Jawahar Pandit over the dominance of the sand contracts.
