Former Education Director of UP Sanjay Sinha Passes Away

Prayagraj, April 25 (TNA) Former secretary of the Basic Education Council, Sanjay Sinha, ddied on Monday at a private hospital after prolonged illness. He was suffering from liver disease for a long time.

During Sinha's tenure, who was the Secretary of the Basic Education Council from December 2012 to September 2018, a large number of assistant teachers, including 72,825, were recruited in the council primary and upper primary schools.

He retired on August 31, 2021 from the post of Director Literacy, Alternative Education, Urdu and Oriental Languages. The government suspended him on March 5, 2021 on various charges. However, his suspension order was stayed by the High Court. He has left behind his wife and a daughter.
