Former UP Minister Chaudhary Bashir Booked For Attempting Sixth Marriage
Agra, August 2 (TNA) Former minister in the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh, Chaudhary Bashir has been booked by the Agra Police for marrying sixth time. According to information available, a case was filed against the SP leader wat the complaint of his third wife Nagma, who had approached the cops at the Mantola police station.
On the complaint of the victim, SSP Muniraj has ordered filing of a case. The accused had earlier been booked for harassing his wife. According to the victim, Chaudhary Bashir got married for the sixth time 8 days ago. He changes wives like clothes, his wife said.
The former UP minister was married to Nagma, his third wife on November 11, 2012. When she found out that her husband was marrying a woman named Shaista for the sixth time on July 23, she reached her husband's house and tried to stop him.
After this, her husband Chaudhary Bashir divorced her three times in front of everyone. Nagma has since petitioned the police and has demanded security for herself. A case under the clause 3/4 of section 504 of the IPC under the Muslim Women Protection Act.
Bashir has first married a SP leader Ghazala, then he married a certain Rubina from Delhi, then Nagma. Details of his fourth and fifth wives are not known.
