Four AMU Students Participate In The "Chinese Bridge" Spring Camp In China

Aligarh, May 3 (TNA) Four students of Chinese language at the Department of Foreign Languages, Aligarh Muslim University, including Azib Khan, Md Firdaus Alam, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Azeem participated in the "Chinese Bridge" Spring Camp, organized by the Yunnan Normal University for Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member nations at Kunming, Urumqi, China.

Prof Muhammad Azhar, Dean of, the Faculty of International Studies and Chairperson of the Department of Foreign Languages said that the students’ participation was facilitated by the Chinese Section of the Department of Foreign Languages to foster India-China cultural dialogue, paving the way for a common, prosperous, shared future through the promotion of Chinese language learning.

The Chinese Bridge Spring Camp was organized to promote people-to-people cultural exchanges between China and India and increase understanding of China and its history and culture. The camp encapsulated key components of Chinese culture ranging from tea ceremony to martial arts, traditional dances, enchanting musical performances, etc.

The participants also undertook a tour of Beijing, especially the Great Wall of China, Bird's Nest Stadium, Tiananmen Square which motivated students to capture the true essence of both the modern and traditional culture of China.
