Four Killed As Car Falls Into Indira Canal In Lucknow
Lucknow, December 17 (TNA) Four persons, including a five-year-old child were killed in the state capital on Friday as the car they were travelling in fell into the Indira canal, police said. Search for two other occupants of the car is udnerway by divers.
The car fell into the Indira canal near Bhaurakala village of Nagaram. The bodies of Rupa Devi (50), Sangeeta (32), Rupesh Mishra (14), Chahat (5) have been fished out of the canal. While the search is on for Rudra (3) and Ananya (7). Three people were rescued.
Police and SDRF are engaged in relief work. The family of the victim of the accident was a resident of Maini village of Pilibhit. All the car riders were going to the farm house of retired IAS Vijay Shankar Pandey located in Achali Kheda, where some of them worked.
