Four Killed In A Blast At A Chemical Unit In UP’s Bulandshahr

Bulandshahr, March 31 (TNA) Four persons were killed in an explosion in a chemical unit at the industrial area here on Friday, police said. Many more have been injured and have been taken to a nearby medical facility.

According to preliminary investigation, several drums of chemicals were kept inside the factory and it is feared that they heated up and blew. The impact of the explosion was such that window panes and glass doors of houses in adjascent areas were shattered.

The sound of the blast and the rising smoke were seen from very far away, even from many kilometers. Police had a tought time gathering the bodies as they had been blown to pieces. “We received information about an explosion in a house in a field. We immediately reached the spot and recovered 4 bodies. An investigation is underway to find the cause of the explosion”, Chandra Prakash Singh, DM, Bulandshahr told media persons.
