Gang Black-marketing Remdesivir Injection Busted In Lucknow, Four Arrested

Lucknow, April 23 (TNA) A gang of people black marketing, hoarding and selling the life-saving Remdesivir injection was busted by the Lucknow Police in the state capital on Friday.

116 injections and Rs 1.94 lakh was recovered from them, an official informed. The arrested gang members have been identified as Ram Sagar, Amandeep, Ankur and Anshu Gupta.

All of them were arrested from under the Chargabgh Metro Rail station around noon.

Of the gang members, Amandeep is a contractual worker at the KGMU and he used to use code words like 'Roti' and 'lunch box' while discussing the exchange and sale of the injection, which is in huge demand but on short supply during the COVID crisis.

They have been booked under relevant sections by the Naka Hindola police, which busted the gang.
