Head Of Cardiology At Era Medical University Dr. Fazal Kareem Dies Of COVID

Lucknow, April 28 (TNA) Eminent cardiologist of Lucknow Dr. Fazal Kareem passed away in the state capital on Wednesday. He tested positive for COVID-19 on April 9 and had been in the hospital ever since. He had recently suffered a brain stroke and his condition had remained critical ever since.

Kareem was head of the cardiology department at the Era Medical University and was known to have been the saviour of many patients. He had done his MBBS from the Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College of AMU in Aligarh and had done MD and DM Cardiology from PGI Chandigarh.

He had been working at Era since 2015. The management of the Era University plunged into mourning with Dr Fazal's death.
