Health Authorities Trash Reports Of Omnicron Variant In Prayagraj

Prayagraj, Dec 4 (TNA) The health authorities have trashed reports of a patient of the latest and deadly strain od Covid-Omnicron, being detected in a woman patient in the holy city of Prayagraj.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Nanak Saran while denying such reports doing the rounds in WhatsApp groups and other social media groups of a 63-year-old woman from Mohasimganj.

“While the Omnicron variant has entered India, Prayagraj is completely safe and no one has been detected of it till now here” a health official added. The CMO also exhorted people not to spread such false news and crete panic.
