Imran Masood Joins SP, BJP Says Man Who Wanted To Chop Modi To Pieces In Now Brother Of Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow, January 12 (TNA) The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Wednesday after Congress leader from western UP, Imran Masood joined hands with it.

In a tweet with a picture of Imran Masood with the former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, state BJP president Swatantra Dev Singh said the world was watching the development.

“माननीय मोदी जी को बोटी-बोटी काटने की धमकी देने वाले इमरान मसूद को अखिलेश यादव ने कोटि-कोटि नमन करते हुए अपना भाईजान बना लिया…जनता सब देख रही है!” the satte BJP president said. In the run up the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Masood had declared a bounty on the head of the then PM candidate of the BJP, Narendra Modi saying that he wanted the Gujarat CM to be cut to pieces.

Masood joined the SP on Wednesday claiming that the real fight in UP was between the BJP and SP. We wanted an alliance between Congress and SP but that did not happen and I was left with no option but to switch to SP, he said.
