Judicial Commission Probing Murder Of Don Brothers Atique And Ashraf Visits Crime Scene, Briefed By Officials
Prayagraj, April 20 (TNA) Members of the three-member Judicial Commission formed by the Uttar Pradesh government to probe the high-profile and sensational murders of don brothers Atique and Ashraf Ahmed visited the crime scene at the Colvin hospital in Prayagraj on Thursday.
The team inspected the place where the duo were felled by the volley of bullets shot by the three killers - Lovelesh Tiwari, Arun Maurya and Sunny Singh on April 15.
The Judicial Commission was also briefed by the progress made into the investigations done so far by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Prayagraj Police. The Commission will also review FIR copy and documents, an official informed.
The investigation is being done under the chairmanship of retired Justice Arvind Kumar Tripathi. Retired DG of UP, Subesh Kumar Singh who is also a member of the Commission along with retired judge Brajesh Kumar Soni has also reached Prayagraj.
The Judicial Inquiry Commission also held a meeting with the SIT team at the Circuit House to know in details about various aspects of the killings that shook the state and nation alike.
A forensic team also reached the spot for recreation of the sequence of events of the fateful Saturday night when the two gansgters were killed in full glare of news channel cameras.
The government has mandated the Judicial Commission to investigate the incident in two months and submit a detailed report to it.
