Kidnapped Baghpat Businessman Reaches Home Safely, Says Top Home Department Official
BAGHPAT || Aadesh Jain, the businessman dealing in iron who was kidnapped in Baghpat district of western Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of Monday was rescued by afternoon, an official said. More details are awaited.
The incident came days after a cement businessman Pradeep Sharma was brutally murdered by criminals. Senior police officials have rushed to meet the family of the businessman and are trying to ascertain the details of the whole incident, an official informed.
IG meerut Praveen Kumar has also reached the crime scene and is taking details from the family and local policemen. According to information available, the kidnapped businessman Aadesh Jain had gone from his home to his shop on Bhagwan Mahaveer Marg, where some iron stock was being off loaded in the wee hours.
When he did not return for many hours, the family got alarmed and started looking for him. After some time the family got a ransom call of Rs one crore for safe release of the businessman.
Police has since started combing the Bijraul thickets where they apprehend the kidnappers to be holed up. Police so far has refused to share the progress in the case with the media but has said they are "on the job" for safe release of Jain.
