Prayagraj, February 9 (TNA) Today, more than two crore devotees are estimated to take a dip in the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya Snan festival. The fair administration and district administration have completed preparations regarding this. 12 ghats have been made for bathing.

On the occasion of the Mauni Amavasya Snan festival, crowds have started arriving since Thursday evening to take a dip in the Sangam. Till late last night, about 58 people had taken a dip of faith in the Sangam.

Apart from UP, MP, and Bihar, devotees from states from North to South are reaching the camps of Magh Mela. This time, more than two crore devotees are expected to take a silent bath. Based on the assessment of the crowd, tight preparations are being made. Four bathing ghats have been extended. This time, saints and devotees will take a silent dip at 12 ghats.

Late in the evening, the fair administration reviewed the preparations for the Mauni Amavasya Snan festival. During this, it was asked to install double barricading on the ghats where the ghats are cut and to make the bathing ghats better for the saints, devotees and Kalpavasis.

Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, Kumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand, DM Navneet Singh Chahal, in-charge Magh Mela Officer Dayanand Prasad and Additional Fair Officer Vivek Chaturvedi were present in this meeting chaired by Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma.
