Legendary Stand-Up Comedian Raju Srivastava Passes Away At 58
New Delhi, Sep 21 (TNA) Legendary stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava died at AIIMS, New Delhi on Wednesday morning, his family informed. He was 58 and had been admitted at the medical facility after he suffered unease, chest pain while working out at a hotel gym in the union capital on August 10. Hospital authorities said the end came at 10:20 am.
The news plunged the entertainment industry into sorrow as many people offered their condolences on the untimely demise of Srivastava. Union ministers Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh were among the first to condole his death.
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav have also offered their condolences on the passing away of the stand-up comedian who had many years back taken to politics.
He had joined the Samajwadi Party initially but was currently a member of the UP BJP. He was also the chairman of the UP Film Development Board. Yogi Adityanath while extending his condolences to Srivastava's family and said, "Raju Srivastava is no more with us. I, on behalf of the people of UP, pray that his soul rests in peace."
