Lucknow Cops Crack Murder Case Of Retired IAS’s Wife, Driver Arrested After Encounter

Lucknow, May 28 (TNA) The Lucknow Police on Tuesday said that it had cracked the murder case of Mohini Dubey, wife of retired IAS officer Devendra Nath Dubey. The murder, according to cops, was done by the driver of the family Akhilesh. His brother Ravi and a friend were also involved in the crime, an official said.

Police have arrested Akhilesh, Ravi and his associate. Akhilesh was also shot and injured in the encounter. A head constable of Ghazipur police station was also injured in the encounter. While disclosing the murder case, the police said that the murder was done with the intention of robbery.

The planning of the accused was to steal the jewelery and cash kept in the house. But at the last moment Mohini Dubey saw him and fearing that he would be caught, the accused strangled her to death.
