Mafia Don Babloo Srivastava's Plea Rejected, Ordered To Be Produced On October 16
Prayagraj, Oct 12 (TNA) On Wednesday, mafia Bablu Srivastava was summoned to testify in the district court in the kidnapping case of jeweler Pankaj Mahindra, but the mafia's lawyer, citing threat to his life, applied to record the testimony of the mafia lodged in Bareilly jail through video conferencing.
District Court's Special Judge Vikas Kumar Srivastava has rejected the application filed by underworld don Babloo Srivastava seeking to record his statement through video conferencing citing threat to his life. The court has completely rejected the mafia's argument and ordered them to appear in the court on October 16. The court has ordered Bareilly SSP, Jail Superintendent as well as Police Commissioner Prayagraj and District Magistrate to ensure the presence of the mafia don in the court.
It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, mafia Bablu Srivastava was summoned to testify in the district court in the kidnapping case of jeweler Pankaj Mahindra, but the mafia's lawyer, citing threat to his life, recorded his testimony through video conferencing of the mafia lodged in Bareilly jail. The Senior Superintendent of Bareilly Jail had expressed his inability to present the mafia in the court on the scheduled date, citing the visit of the Prime Minister and the Governor of Kerala on October 12.
The court rejected the mafia's application on the objection of District Government Advocate (Criminal) Gulab Chandra Agrahari and Special Advocate Crime RP Singh, appearing on behalf of the prosecution. Fixing October 16 as the next date, Bareilly Jail Superintendent, SSP, Prayagraj Police Commissioner and District Magistrate were ordered to present the mafia in the court under any circumstances.
