Maiden Mil Lit Fest Begins In Lucknow On Sunday, Programme Released
Lucknow, August 14 (TNA) The maiden edition of the Mil Lit Fest, organised by the recently founded Military Literary & Cultural Festival Foundation, Lucknow - a registered society with imprints of local veterans and prominent civilians will begin on Sunday, August 15. Due to the ongoing pandemic, all sessions will however take place in the virtual mode on Zoom.
On the inaugural day at 6:30 pm there will be a conversation on the National Flag and other flags. Lt Gen Rameshwar Yadav in conversation with Dr Sadan Jha from Surat on his book Reverence, Resistance and Politics of Seeing Indian National Flag & with Sekhar Chakraborty India’s leading Vexillologist, from Kolkota.
On August 22 at 6:30 pm there would be a session on the two grand cities - Bhopal & Lucknow where Mehru Jaffer from Lucknow will be in Conversation with Rosie Lewellyn Jones from UK and Lt Gen Milan Naidu from Bhopal on their new/ upcoming books - Battle Ground Lucknow And Nizam I Bhopal .

On August 28 at 6:30 pm the topic of discussion would be Weight of Sacrifice wherein Capt Yashika Hatwal Tyagi from Ranchi will be in conversation with Chander Suta Dogra (Book Missing in Action), Capt Anil Gour (Study on Displaced Civilians from Chhamb 1971) and Brig Samir Singh (upcoming book on his experiences of the battle and as a prisoner of war 1971 war)
The last and special session of the fortnight long festival will be on August 29 at 5 pm where in Maj Gen Hemant Kumar Singh will hold a conversation with Preeti Gill , Sonam Kapadia , Cheryl M Soggee and Wing Cdr MA Afraz on some unique and creative ways of Remembrance and Memorialisation.
