Chandauli, February 19 (TNA) A major accident has been avoided in Chandauli. A JCB was crossing the railway track on Sunday and the Lokmanya Tilak Express train arrived from the front. The JCB was damaged due to the collision with the train. The railway track remained disrupted for hours after the incident. During this period the passengers faced a lot of trouble.

The engine of the train was also damaged. The railway track remained affected for hours after the incident. According to the information, the JCB operator was doing contract work for the nearby railways. The collision was so severe that the train moved forward, dragging the JCB to a distance of about 200 meters. The driver of the JCB was also seriously injured. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Varanasi ADRM Lalji Chaudhary reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. Another JCB was called at the spot and with its help the damaged JCB was removed and the route was evacuated. The work of repairing the damaged tracks was started. ADRM said that this incident will be seriously investigated and action will be taken against anyone found guilty under the Railway Act.
