Man Held In Sambhal For Serving Chicken On Paper Carrying Pictures Of Hindu Gods
Sambhal, July 5 (TNA) A man has been arrested in Sambhal for hurting religious sentiments by selling chicken on a piece of paper which had pictures of Hindu deities. According to the police, when a team went to arrest him, he attacked the police team with a knife.
The incident is of Sunday when some people took to social media complaining that Talib Hussain was selling chicken at his shop on pieces of paper that carried a picture of a Hindu god and goddess. Taking note, the district police officials sent a team to pick him up.
When a police team reached his shop, Talib Hussain allegedly attacked them with a knife with an intention to kill. Hussain has been charged under IPC Sections 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence) , 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and 307 (attempt to murder).
