Miscreants Bash Passengers On Board A Bus In Varanasi, Police Register Case

Varanasi, July 23 (TNA) Unsuspecting passengers on board a bus traveling from Singrauli to Varanasi were manhandled and beaten up late on Thursday night in Varanasi.

The miscreants, wearing masks came by a car and a bike and intercepted the bus near the Sajan turn. They then bashed up the passengers and escaped.

The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained as no robbery was committed. Police on receiving the information went to the rescue of the scared passengers and took the injured to a nearby medical facility.

A case has been registered and a probe is underway based on the statements of the injured passengers. The injured include the bus conductor, driver and some women along with children.
