Nationalism To Be Taught At Madarsas In Uttar Pradesh: Minority Welfare Minister

Lucknow, April 13 (TNA) Nationalism will be taught in all madarsas of Uttar Pradesh soon, minister for Haj and Minority Welfare Dharam Pal Singh on Wednesday. He had earlier chaired a departmental review meeting. He also said all encroachments will be removed from the Waqf land.

Presiding over the departmental review meeting, Singh said that the Waqf lands which are in illegal possession will soon be identified, marked and then freed from squatters. Initiative will be taken to start vocational courses in madrassas imparting education of nationalism. There will be an initiative to give education of nationalism, he added.

Shia Waqf Board Chairman Syed Ali Zaidi apprised the cabinet minister about the problems related to the board. The minister assured him of speedy redressal of all problems faced by the community. Minister of State Danish Ansari, members and chairman of the Minority Commission and Madrasa Board were also present on the occasion.
