It is far superior to the existing website, said the Vice Chancellor adding that there was a need to have a new structured and data based improved website.
"A website committee comprising Prof Jamshed Siddiqui (Department of Computer Science), Prof Athar Ali Khan (Chairman, Department of Statistics), Prof M Rizwan Khan (Director, IQAC), Dr Parvez Mahmood Khan (Director, Prof M N Farooqui Computer Centre), Dr Mohammad Yusuf (University Librarian), Dr Gaurav Singh (Chairman, Department of Prosthodontics), Dr Rizwan Ahmad Khan (Chairman, Department of Paediatrics Surgery), Prof Mirza Faisal S Baig (Chairman, Department of Mechanical Engineering) and Dr Aasim Zafar (Department of Computer Science) was constituted for the task and it took one-year to develop the new version," said Prof Mansoor.
He emphasised: "Websites are windows of the institutions to the outside world and I am sure that the newly developed website will provide AMU with a new image." Prof Mansoor urged the faculty members to update their CV and information on the website.
Dr Parvez Mahmood Khan (Director, Prof M N Farooqui Computer Centre) said that website has been developed in line with the government of India guidelines to avoid uncertainties like the 2017 cyber attacks which impacted websites of educational institutions. The website is designed by a team of AHA Technocrats led by its CEO, Mehroz Ali Pasha.
