New Building Inaugurated At St Fidelis College

Lucknow, April 10 (TNA) A new building at the St Fidelis College was inaugurated this week. Rt Rev Gerald John Mathias, the Bishop of The Diocese of Lucknow was the Chief Guest who graciously blessed the new building in the presence of the provincial Rev Father Dr Herman Minj, The Principal Rev Father Joachim Ekka, the Vice Principal Rev Father Johnson Ekka other eminent dignitaries, teachers and students.

Nirmal Nathaniel, Prashant Singh, Gaurav Human, Madhukar Singh, Indranath Bhattacharya, Rizwan and Mansi Gupta were also present during the special occasion as representatives and officials of FAA (Fidelian Alumni Association).

The function began with a prayer song and prayer dance followed by reading from the scriptures. In his address the Bishop urged everyone to be more human and humane in thier approach to all. He also emphasized on the role of teachers in shaping and developing young minds.

The unveiling of the plaque and the ribbon cutting officially marked the inauguration of the new building thus ushering in a new phase of learning which will empower more students with academic and life skills. The vote of thanks was proposed by the provincial Minister Rev Fr Dr Herman Minj. He thanked the Chief Guest Rt Rev Bishop and all the other dignitaries for their benign presence.

He also acknowledged and applauded the efforts of all the minds and hands involved in shaping the new edifice of learning -the architect, engineers, electricians, plumbers and labourers. They too were publicly felicitated for their valuable contribution. The programme concluded with a hymn.
