Next Hearing In Allahabad HC On Petition Seeking Land Acquisition Of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah On Sep 4
Prayagraj, August 24 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court (HC) will hear on September 4, a petition seeking land acquisition of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Shahi Idgah in Mathura. In the hearing held on Wednesday, the court sought information on the petition from the state government. This order has been given by the bench of Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar and Justice Ashutosh Srivastava.
The petitioner in this case is Supreme Court advocate Mehak Maheshwari. He has pleaded that out of 13.37 acres of Krishna Janmabhoomi land, 11.37 acres of Janmabhoomi temple and the remaining two acres of land handed over to Shahi Idgah are wrong.
The hearing of the PIL filed for the acquisition of the entire land including Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque in Mathura and giving the right of worship to Hindus by forming a Trust will now be held on September 4. In the petition, a demand has also been made to conduct a scientific survey of the premises from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). It has also been said that the Shahi Idgah complex should be handed over to Hindus.
The petitioner says that where there is a royal Idgah, there was Kansa's prison in the Dwapar era. Lord Krishna was born in this. After demolishing the temple, the Shahi Idgah mosque has been built there. Additional Advocate General Manish Goyal presented the side of the State Government.
