Next Hearing In The Mathura Vrindavan Banke Bihari Temple Corridor Case By The Allahabad High Court On September 18
Prayagraj, September 5 (TNA) Next hearing in the Mathura Vrindavan Banke Bihari Temple Corridor case will be heard by the Allahabad High Court (HC) on September 18. The court had told the lawyers of all the parties that this is such a matter that it can be resolved by sitting together.
The court insisted on resolving the matter through arbitration. A meeting of all the parties was held on August 27 at the Advocate General Camp office to agree on this issue but no agreement could be reached.
Allahabad High Court will now hear the petitions filed on September 18 regarding the beautification of the proposed Banke Bihari Temple Corridor and Yamuna Ghats in Mathura Vrindavan. The petition was heard by the division bench of Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar and Justice Ashutosh Srivastava.
A Public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed on behalf of Anant Sharma and others and Mahant Madhu Mangal Das and many others. On behalf of the government, state's Additional Advocate General Manish Goyal and Chief Standing Advocate Kunal Ravi presented the government's side.
Sevayat's advocate on behalf of Banke Bihari Temple had said that the temple is theirs and they have the right on the donations received in the temple. The government cannot take this money from them in the name of development. However, the court will hear the PILs on September 18.
