NHRC Seeks Report In Case Of Cane Charge On Students In Prayagraj
Prayagraj, February 23 (TNA) The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognizance of the lathi-charge on students in Baghada during the agitation for railway recruitment and sought a response from concerned authorities within eight weeks.
The Assistant Registrar of NHAC has issued an order to his Section Officer and after completion of the action, has also sought a reply. The commission has issued this order taking cognizance of the case filed by Allahabad High Court advocate Gajendra Singh Yadav.
Advocate Gajendra Singh had lodged a complaint with the commission after the incident of lathi-charge on students in Baghada that on January 25, the police brutally lathi-charged the students who were agitating at Prayagraj station for the railway recruitment examination.
