Night Curfew In Uttar Pradesh Announced, To Come Into Force From Saturday

Lucknow, December 24 (TNA) Following a rise in Covid cases in the country, specially Omicron, the UP government on Friday ordered a night curfew across the state from Saturday, December 25. Instructions to this effect were given by chief minister Yogi Adityanath at a high-level meeting to take a stock of the situation of the pandemic in the state. It will be in force from 11 pm to 5 am.

The situation in the state is under control due to the correct implementation of the policy of tracing, testing, treatment and vaccination to protect against Covid, the CM was informed. A total of 49 new infected were confirmed in the investigation of 1.91 lakh odd samples done in the last 24 hours.

In the same period, 12 people were treated and became corona free. Today, the total number of active Covid cases in the state is 266, while 16.87 lakh have defeated Corona and recovered. Today there is not a single Covid patient left in 37 districts, a state government spokesman said.
