Night Flights From Prayagraj Being Worked Out

Prayagraj, July 15 (TNA) With night landing facilities available at the airport here, a direct night flight to the union capital at 10 pm will soon be a reality from Prayagraj. This was discussed and okayed at a high-level chaired by Member of Parliament Phulpur and Chairman of Airport Advisory Committee Keshari Devi Patel.

In the new schedule that Alliance Air has made, there is a preparation for a direct flight to Delhi around 10 pm, it was informed. Now the movement of aircraft will be done at the airport even at night, preparations are also being made to run a 20-seater aircraft service for Ayodhya.

It can be started by Alliance Air. Alliance Air has proposed to schedule Prayagraj-Delhi flight twice a week at night time. This aircraft will come from Kolkata to Prayagraj two days a week around 9.15 pm. In the meeting held at Civil Aviation Training College, Bamrauli, Airport Director RR Pandey informed about the expansion of Prayagraj Airport.

He informed that the work of expansion of the airport will start next month. This work will be completed in 15 months. Prior to Kumbh, new terminal building, a taxi way, parking stand for three big and eight small aircraft etc. will be available here. MP Keshari Devi Patel talked about starting the closed Nagpur-Patna flight under the UDAN scheme. She said that she would meet the Aviation Minister soon in this regard.

She directed officials to submit a proposal to get the land from the state government for 31 acres of land adjacent to the airport to be used for the needs of the airport in future. It was informed in the meeting that there is a plan to start flights from Prayagraj to Hyderabad, Chennai, Goa, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Guwahati and Jammu. Talks are on with the airlines in this regard.
