Nine-Day Art Exhibition At Hussainganj Metro Station Concludes

Lucknow, December 14 (TNA) A nine-day art exhibition titled “The Beginning” held at the Hussainganj metro station concluded on Sunday. The closing ceremony was attended by the Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro, Kumar Keshav, Director Operations, Sushil Kumar, and other senior officials of the UP metro.

This painting and sculpture exhibition presented by promising fine arts students of Lucknow University has increased awareness and understanding of art among the common people and has also given a platform to the talent of the city.

On this occasion, to give blessings and encouragement to these budding artists of 'The Beginning' team, eminent philanthropist and author Padmashree Dr. Yogesh Praveen, renowned actor Anil Rastogi, Professor of Arts College, Lucknow University, Rajan Sripada Phulari and Bhupesh Rai, founder of Repartwahr festival, actress and anchor Anita Sehgal, were also present.

Expressing happiness over the successful event, Kumar Keshav said that; "Our objective behind providing a platform to the city's emerging artists is to advance the city's art and heritage." These paintings and craftwork are expressing our time. The basic questions and human sensibilities associated with our consciousness have been highlighted by these artists on canvas through their brush. We wish them a successful future.”

On this occasion, the students who secured the first, second and third ranks in various competitions organized during the Nine-Day Art Exhibition were awarded by the dignitaries. All the participants were also given certificates by UP Metro for their contribution.

The artists of the 'Beginning' team of Lucknow University also organized a live exhibition on stage, where the audience understood the process of picture-making and its nuances.
