Nine Killed As Tractor Trolley Plunges Into River In UP’s Saharanpur

Saharanpur, August 24 (TNA) In a tragic incident in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a tractor trolley fell in a river, leaving at least 9 persons dead.

Due to strong current in the river, many passengers on borad the ill-fated tractor trolley are feared to have been washed away. Rescue team comprising of divers is trying to fish out the missing.

The mishap took place in Bondki village of the district. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of lives and has directed district officials to ensure prompt rescue and relief operation. He has also announced an ex-gratia of Rs four lakh each for the families of the deceased.
