Notwithstanding The Intense Cold, Schools In Lucknow To Reopen After Winter Vacation From Thursday

Lucknow, January 10 (TNA) Hopes of parents and students alike, who were looking for extension of the ongoing winter vacations due to biting dold, were dashed on Wednesday as the district administration in Lucknow refused requests and okayed the reopening of schools from January 11. According to information, the school timings for 6th to 9th and 11th have been changed to 9.30am to 2.30pm.

School timings for 10th & 12th will be 9.3o am up to 1 pm. This comes at a time when schools in many districts of the state have been shut due to the inclement weather and cold wave. What has further added to the miseries is the fact that the weatherman has warned of further fall in the mercury for the next four days.

According to the Met department, the minimum temperature in the next few days is set to touch a low of 7 degrees celsius. This is almost three degrees lesses that the minimum temperature on Wednesday, which hoverned around 10 degrees celsius. The IMD has also predicted rains in the coming days as well, which is likely to intensify the chill.
