Now CCTV Cameras Must In School Vans In UP, Three Months Deadline Given
Lucknow, January 2 (TNA) It has now been made mandatory to install CCTV cameras in school vans, vehicle owners will be responsible along with the school management. This has been done to ensure safety of children, an official said.
Vehicle owners and school operators have been given three months time to get these installed. After this, no such van will be associated with the school which does not have CCTV cameras.
Strict action will be taken on violation of rules. Principal Secretary of Transport Department, L Venkateswara Lu has issued orders in this regard. He said that all the school vans in the state will have to follow this order. Along with the schools' own vans, cameras will also have to be installed in the vehicles contracted to bring children.
