Now Smriti Irani Will Also Vote In Amethi, Becomes Voter From Booth Number 347
Lucknow, April 4 (TNA) Incumbent MP Smriti Zubin Irani is the second Union Minister who will exercise her franchise in Amethi. At the same time, she is the third leader as an MP. After constructing a house in Medan Mawai, the MP applied to become a voter. Now her name has been included in the voter list of booth number 347.
Smriti, who entered the election campaign as a BJP candidate from Amethi in 2014, had to face defeat in the first election. After this, she won the 2019 elections by defeating Rahul Gandhi of Congress. In this election, Smriti had promised the public that after getting elected as MP from Amethi, she would make a permanent residence here.
After winning the elections, the Union Minister purchased land for housing in Medan Mawai village of Gauriganj tehsil area on 22 February 2021. On July 29, 2021, her son performed Bhoomi Pujan. The housing work was completed this year. After this, she entered the house on 22 February 2024. Many big leaders participated in it.
Union Minister's representative Vijay Gupta said that along with this, Smriti Zubin Irani had also started the process of making herself a voter from Amethi. With the completion of the formalities, she has become a voter of booth number 347 of Medan Mawai village of Gauriganj assembly constituency of Amethi parliamentary constituency. In the last election, her address was Mumbai.
Ravindra Pratap Singh, who was elected MP from Janata Party in the year 1977 in Amethi Lok Sabha, which came into existence in the year 1967, was a resident of Kohra in Amethi. After this, Sanjay Singh, who became MP in 1998, was also a native and voter of Amethi. After this, Smriti Zubin Irani is now the third leader who is not only an MP but also a voter. Also, she is the second voter from Amethi who is a Union Minister.
