Over Two Quintals Of Ganja Seized In Agra, Two Arrested

Agra, February 29 (TNA) In a major action by Anti Narcotics Task Force in the Taj city, ganja worth over Rs two crores has been seized and two smugglers arrested. The drugs have been seized from a truck at zero point in Bamrauli Katara area of the expressway on Wednesday night.

The 2.20 quintals of ganja was brought hidden between cartons in the truck. The team of Anti Narcotics Task Force was led by CO Irfan Nasir Khan and Inspector Harvendra Mishra. The CO said that a truck was stopped at the zero point of the expressway. Cartons full of copies were kept in it.

The team has arrested Deepak Singh alias Vicky, resident of Nagar, police station Rajkheda Dholpur and Rajan alias Bapu, resident of Ayela village of Saiya. The accused had formed a syndicate and brought ganja from Andhra Pradesh and Odisha and used to supply it to Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi NCR, Mathura and Agra.
