Lucknow, April 15 (TNA) AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi will not field candidates on his own symbol in UP. According to the plan prepared for the elections, the candidates of Owaisi's party will contest the elections on the symbol of Apna Dal (Kameravadi).

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who formed the 'Backward, Dalit, Muslim' (PDM) Nyay Morcha to take on the 'Backward, Dalit, Minority' (PDA) of the Samajwadi Party in the Lok Sabha elections, will not field a candidate on his own symbol in UP. There are preparations to field around a dozen candidates of Owaisi from Pallavi's party. These candidates will contest elections only on those seats where the number of Muslim voters is more.

Apna Dal (Kameravadi) leader Pallavi Patel, who won the state assembly election in 2022on the SP symbol, and AIMIM Chief have together formed PDM Nyaya Morcha. Also, through this front, both the leaders have announced to give a tough challenge to the BJP as well as the main opposition SP in UP. Therefore, both the leaders have planned to contest elections together on at least three dozen seats.

According to sources, under the plan, the Morcha has prepared a strategy to corner SP on those seats on which SP had won and those seats where the number of Muslim voters has proved to be decisive. At present the Morcha has fielded candidates on 7 seats included in the third, fifth and seventh phases. Soon the list of candidates for other seats will also be released.
