PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone Of Shri Kalki Dham In Sambhal District Of UP
Lucknow, February 19 (TNA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stone of Kalki Dham temple in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. On his arrival, he was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and chairman of the Shri Kalki Dham Trust and former Congress leader Pramod Krishnam. The Shri Kalki Dham is located at Ainchoda Kamboh in Sambhal.
The grand temple is likely to be completed in four years. Acharya Pramod Krishnam told that he had dreamed of building Shri Kalki Dham 18 years ago. Preparations for the foundation stone laying were going on in the year 2016 but were disrupted by political forces in the state. At the end of Kaliyuga, Lord Vishnu will incarnate in the form of Kalki which is also mentioned in Skanda Purana, the seer-turned-politician further informed.
Sambhal also has 68 pilgrimage sites and 19 religious wells related to Lord Shiva, Shri Krishna and Lord Kalki. Congress had expelled Acharya Pramod Krishnam from the party for six years after there were indications of the Prime Minister attending the Shri Kalki Dham celebrations. Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a lifelong Congressman, had given an invitation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on 1st February.
Addressing a public gathering after laying the foundation stone of the temple, PM Modi said he was delighted to be aprt of the event and thanked the gathering of saints and mused on how God has assigned him the work of welfare of the poor and progress of India.
