PM Modi To Lay Foundation Stone Of Jewar Airport Today

Lucknow, Nov 25 (TNA) prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Jewar International Airport in Noida, Uttar Pradesh later today. The airport, touted as the biggest in Asia and fourth biggest in the world will be built on 5,845 hectares of land and its first phase is likely to be completed by 2024.

The first phase will cost Rs 10,050 crores. The airport will also make UP the only state in the country with five international airports and the second airport in the National Capital Region (NCR). The first being the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The annual capacity of the airport, once the first phase is completed would be around 1.2 crore passengers.
