Meerut, March 31 (TNA) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sounding the bugle for the Lok Sabha elections from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. Apart from the Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, leaders of NDA's allies will also participate in it. This rally is also going to be special in this respect because, after 15 years, RLD chief Chaudhary Jayant Singh will share the stage with the Prime Minister for the second time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally will be held at 3 pm on the grounds of the Central Potato Research Institute located at Modipuram. This will be the third time that Modi will start the Lok Sabha election campaign in Uttar Pradesh from Meerut. In 2014 and 2019 also, Narendra Modi had kickstarted the Lok Sabha election campaign from here only.

Through the public rally, the prime minister is likely to set the equations in favour of the BJP in Meerut-Hapur, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Kairana, Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr and Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida).

To make the rally successful, BJP and RLD workers have been camping in Meerut for three days. BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary reached Meerut on Saturday itself. Meanwhile, SPG has taken over the arrangements for the rally.

Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at every nook and corner. ADG Security and ADG Meerut are monitoring zone security and are overseeing the arrangements for the rally in which more than 1500 policemen have been deployed at the rally site.
