Police Inspector Shot Dead In Lucknow, Was Posted In PAC At Prayagraj

Lucknow, November 13 (TNA) A police inspector, posted with the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) was murdered in his home late on Sunday night. According to information available, the cop was shot by unidentified assailants when he was opening the gate of his residence.

He was rushed to the trauma centre by his family members where he died during treatment. The deceased policeman - Satish Kumar Singh, was posted at PAC in Prayagraj as a Quarter Master.

The incident happened when he returned home at around 2 am with his wife and 10-year-old daughter and was opening the gate of his home at Manas Nagar colony, falling under the Krishnanagar police station.

Police has initiated a probe into the high-profile murder but there is not much headway as of now, an official informed while adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
