Lucknow, April 1 (TNA) Power minister Shrikant Sharma on Thursday warned power men against any callousness in redressal of billing complaints and said such negligence would not be acceptable. Interacting with officials of the power department with regards to power distribution, through video conferencing, the minister instructed officials to settle billing complaints first.

He also asked officials to on ground level, for real-time assessment of problems and ensure accountability as well. Go to MD areas and check reality, ensure accountability.

The benefit of OTS to every eligible consumer is till April 15 and hence he asked officials to knock the door of every consumer whose bills are overdue and tell them the benefits of interest waiver and the one-time settlement scheme.

The minister also warned officials against unnecessary cuts in summers and asked them to make arrangements properly, ensure 100% load balancing of transformers, increase consumer services at sub-stations, also arrange for drinking water and sheds.

The Minister of Energy and Additional Energy Sources, Srikkanth Sharma on Thursday reviewed the Covid-19 the lump sum solution scheme, uninterrupted supply of summer and improvement of consumer services through VC of Madhyanchal, Purvanchal, Paschimanchal, Dakshinchal and Kesco.
