Prayagraj Airport Ranked In Top 20 Indian Airports In Customer Satisfaction

Lucknow, May 8 (TNA) In the Customer Satisfaction Index released every six months by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) the Prayagraj Airport has found a place among the top 20 airports in the country in terms of customer satisfaction. Based on the feedback taken from passengers regarding the facilities available here, Prayagraj has been ranked 18th in the list of domestic flying airports. Prior to this, Prayagraj Airport had 46th rank.

This survey is separate for airports with domestic and international flights from January to June and July to December and separate lists are issued for both. Last year, the feedback of passengers was taken in 68 airports of the country serving domestic flights. More than 30 parameters were included in the feedback.

This includes airport parking, availability of baggage courts/trolleys, waiting times in the check-in queue, efficiency of check-in staff, polite and helpful security staff, waiting times during security checks, flight information screens, terminal walk-in took feedback from passengers about distance, restaurant and catering facilities, shopping facilities, internet access-wifi facility, washroom toilet facility etc.

Airport Director RR Pandey has expressed his happiness on this achievement and thanked the passengers and the employees of the airport and airlines. In the list of airports of UP except Lucknow, Varanasi airport has got 8th rank in terms of customer satisfaction. Last time also Varanasi was at 8th position only. Similarly Gorakhpur also managed to stay put at its 26th rank. In this list, Agra was given 35th rank, Kanpur 50th.
