Prayagraj Express Becomes NCR's Number 1 Grosser Train, Rakes In Rs 82.03 Crore In 2022-23

Prayagraj, May 29 (TNA) Prayagraj Express, the VIP train of North Central Railway (NCR), has once again become the number one train of the zone in terms of earning. In the last financial year 2022-23, Prayagraj Express earned the highest amount of Rs 82.03 crore. During this period, the number of people who made reservation in Prayagraj Express was 11.45 lakh.

The Prayagraj Express for Delhi ran for the first time on July 16, 1984. For the last 38 years, this train has remained the favorite train of passengers traveling from Prayagraj to Delhi. Leaving aside the Corona period, the chances of its cancellation are also less as compared to other trains.

At the same time, in terms of earning, the Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak Duronto Express stood at the second place, while the Kanpur Shatabdi has now come at the fourth place instead of the third. In the last financial year 2022-23, train number 12417 Prayagraj Express earned a total of 41.97 crores.

During this, a total of 5.75 lakh passengers travelled in it. Similarly, the total earning of 12418 Prayagraj Express in the last financial year was Rs 40.06 crore. During this, 5.70 passengers travelled in it.

If the figures of up and down are added, then the Railways earned 82.03 crores in the last financial year from Prayagraj Express. According to these figures, the average daily earning of Prayagraj Express is Rs 22.46 lakh. Mumbai Duronto Express is at number two
