Priyanka Gandhi Asks UP Leaders To Counter Anti-Congress Propaganda On Social Media

Lucknow, Oct 1 (TNA) Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Friday continued to have wide ranging discussions with party leaders in Uttar Pradesh. According to state leaders, Priyanka asked the leaders to counter the anti-Congress propaganda being carried out on the social media by non-Congress parties.

She asked her party leaders and workers to reach out to the people and effectively convey the party's points, besides strongly countering any vicious propaganda. She is in Lucknow on a five-day visit to Lucknow and holding back-to-back meetings. She is trying hard to bring back the grand old party into reckoning.

Congress after almost three decades of ruling the state, was last in power in 1989. The state has after that been ruled by the BJP and regional parties like Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
