Process To Make Prayagraj An International Airport Begins

Prayagraj, Nov 12 (TNA) Good news for the people of the holy city of Prayagraj as the process to make Prayagraj airport an international airport has begun. For this, a roadmap for the expansion of the airport has been set by the Airports Authority of India.

Work will start with the expansion of the apron in the airport. After its expansion, eight aircraft will be able to park at the same time easily in Prayagraj Airport. This work is expected to start after Magh Mela.

The announcement of international status for Prayagraj airport was made by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya on September 22. In view of the ever-increasing passenger movement and increasing number of aircraft in Prayagraj Airport, the need for its expansion was felt for a long time.

At present, the airport terminal has a maximum seating capacity of 300 passengers at a time.
